“Pink Insurance clients aren’t forced to pay for extra bells and whistles to get early compensation, or wait until they’re unable to perform a standard daily activity just to make an insurance claim.”
Trauma Cover provides for the payment of a benefit in the event of a critical medical condition or trauma – such as cancer, major burns or multiple sclerosis.
Optional Children’s Benefit:
By choosing to add this benefit, at no extra cost you will receive a payment of $20,000 should any of your children aged between 3 and 18 suffer one of the covered conditions.
Women’s Cancer Benefit:
You will receive a payment of 25% of the Trauma Cover sum assured, up to a maximum of $50,000 for the diagnosis of lower grade cancers of the breast, cervix, vulva, fallopian tubes and vagina. The Trauma Cover sum assured will be reduced upon payment of this benefit.
In New Zealand there are 2,479 new breast cancer registrations with 647 deaths from the disease each year*
Diagnosis Benefit:
If you are diagnosed with a condition such as Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson’s Disease you will receive a payment of 25% of the Trauma Cover sum assured, up to a maximum of $50,000. The balance of the payment (up to the full sum assured) will be made when the disease or condition has worsened to an extent that you fulfil the actual definition of the trauma outlined in the policy document. That usually requires at least 25% impairment of normal function.
With our nation’s horrific accident statistics constantly in the news, Pink Insurance has introduced an Intensive Care benefit where if you endure an accident or an illness which results in life support for more than 3 days, or intensive care treatment for more than 5 days, and you survive for more than 14 days after coming off all life support equipment, the full Trauma cover benefit will be paid.
If you have been working outside New Zealand for more than 3 months when you suffer from one of the covered conditions, the return to home benefit will pay the cost of a single standard economy airfare to New Zealand plus any transport costs to a medical facility in New Zealand where necessary.
If you suffer from one of the covered conditions and your medical practitioner recommends that a support person is required to accompany you outside of your residential region for treatment, the support person accommodation grant and transfer benefits will pay $200 for each day that you remain at your treatment destination for up to 10 days, plus reimburse the actual transport costs of your support person.*
Further benefits of Pink Insurance policies enable clients to increase their amount of financial cover when special events occur including marriage, the birth or adoption of a child, a mortgage increase or the purchase a new property.
